Know Your Candidate Nepal is an independent initiative not affiliated with any political party, candidate, or the Election Commission of Nepal.

We are committed to:

  • Citing all sources for verification
  • Correcting errors promptly and transparently

Methodology

We collect information from publicly available sources including government records, party manifestos, media interviews, and verified fact-checking organizations. Every claim is cited with sources.

Data Collection Process:

  1. Gather information from official government records (Election Commission, parliament)
  2. Review party manifestos and candidate statements
  3. Analyze reputable media interviews and fact-checking organizations
  4. Cross-reference multiple sources for accuracy
  5. Cite every claim with accessible sources
  6. Mark information as "Unknown" when not publicly available

What We Do NOT Do:

  • Rank or rate candidates
  • Make predictions or recommendations
  • Use persuasive or biased language
  • Generate opinions or editorials
  • Hide or emphasize information selectively
